During the years of 2011-2016, railway transports in Ukraine decreased by 27%. It was said by Sergey Povajnyuk, Deputy Director General of "Ukrpromvneshekspertiza" state enterprise. According to him, decreases have been observed since 2012 and it happened due to recession in the industry. In 2016 the railway transports decreased 1,7% compared to 2015 and 27% compared to 2011 and comprised of 344 million tons.
