On October 2016, a magnificent presentation ceremony of "AzRusTrans", joint venture of "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC and “Rusaqrotrans” CJSC, was held. Javid Guliyev, head of the joint venture, opened the ceremony with his speech and talked to the participants about the advantages of the company in international transports among Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Georgia and Turkey. Then, Javid Gurbanov, Chairman of "Azerbaijan Railways" Closed Joint Stock Company, Oleg Rogachov, Chairman of Board of Directors of "AzRusTrans" CJSC, Konstantin Zasov, Member of Board of Directors of “Rusaqrotrans” CJSC, Igbal Huseynov, Deputy Chairman of "Azerbaijan Railways" Closed Joint Stock Company, Yuri Kim, Director of “Rusaqrotrans” CJSC, Aleksey Fedotenkov, Director of Marketing Department of “Rusaqrotrans” CJSC made a speech and spoke about the future perspectives of the newly established joint venture. It should be noted for information that the purpose in the foundation of the joint venture with the participation of “Rusaqrotrans” CJSC and "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC is to increase the share of railway transports in the cargo turnover among Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Georgia and Turkey, take reasonable measures related to the establishment of competitive logistics services required by the market. By combining rolling stocks, both company may cover the transportation of grain and timber products in the first stage. The results of the implemented works (including construction of new corridors, such as Baku-Tbilisi-Kars, the North-South) shows that as a result of new corridors, the volume of the railway transports between Russia and Turkey or Russia and Iran through Azerbaijan may increase twice due to the activity of the established joint venture. At the same time, grain transports on the directions of Russia - Iran and Russia - Georgia and Russia - Turkey, Kazakhstan - Turkey, Kazakhstan - Georgia may be more promising. “AzRusTrans” is a railway company that aims to become one of the major operators owing a personal rolling stock in the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan. “AzRusTrans” railway company tries to become the major logistics company and serve for traders, sellers and buyers of various products. “AzRusTrans” will transport grain products, other open, agriculturual, timber products, mineral fertilizers, constructions, container, packaging and liquid cargos. “AzRusTrans” will ensure the transportation of goods from one destination to the other suggesting new corridors such as Baku-Tbilisi-Kars, Iran - Russia (North - South) including lease of wagons, tracing of wagons (in the territory of Azerbaijan), tariffs. “AzRusTrans” is responsible to provide a transportation product that will meet the demands of the shipping customers to maximum extent in an operative way. The purpose in establishment of the joint venture is to increase the share of transports through railway in the transit cargo turnover over the territory of Azerbaijan. At the end of the ceremony, relevanr documents were signed.
